Captain Kirk's Enterprise A is the best looking ship

Makes more sense , love the animation . Only issue I got is the “ work bees “ are too advanced for Kirk’s enterprise time line let alone Robert April’s . Guess I would have pictured some altered version of the Galileo type shuttle or even actual Starfleet SeaBee’s welding in space . But I still think it being built in orbit makes the best sense and far more fitting for the grand Lady . Well done my friend !!!!!

I loved this. The 1979 refit was nice, but the original would have been thrilling!

Self illumination was never part of the original ship… but it should’ve been. It was the best idea to come out of the movies. It made the ship so majestic.

Except for the lights, it looks exactly like my old AMT model. Built it on 1974.

No offense, but you don't remember the original story. There was one ship, with a super weapon that was probing Earth defensive capabilities. It wasn't an armada. It was sent to probe if an attack on the Federation was feasible. It was a remote outpost, and the Enterprise was the only ship that could intercept and attack. But it's all stupid fiction anyhow. We will never leave this solar system, not as human beings anyhow.

Beautiful and moving although I expected to see the Phoenix flying by there after the space station.

PERFECT. THIS is what I want to see. The ORIGINAL. The BEST. The round nacelles, the thin, straight pylons, the old deflector dish. I have NEVER liked the refit as well as the original, nor any OTHER ship in sci-Fi, Sorry, MILLENNIUM FALCON. But, a few questions: 1. The mechanical arm says, "Canada"? I thought Earth had a united world government in the 2300's. Canada still exists? 2. They still use welding in the 2200's? Even naval shipbuilding today has to be careful when constructing seagoing ships - liberty ships during WWII were known to occasionally break in half due to poor welding due to the rush to get ships into service. And that is just at SEA. The forces those welded ships would have to endure in space are INFINITELY worse. NO weld is going to hold up formore than a fraction of a fraction of a second. Hit "ahead slow" and Everybody Be Dead.

Under these circumstances you'd let one Klingon ship escape and go home to report that the Federation had a new super-ship.

If they had used a more detailed version like this in STTMP (instead of the refit version) I think it would have been much more emotional for the fans.
